Contains per 1 liter:
| .Toltrazuril
|
25 gm, and other proprietary ingredients, including:
(Triethanolamine, Polyethylene Glycol 200). |
Toltrazuril induces changes in fine structure of coccidial
development stages that are mainly due to the swelling
of the endoplasmic reticulum and of the Golgi apparatus
and to abnormalities in the perinuclear space and disturbances in nuclear division, it also causes a reduction of
enzymes in the respiratory chain of the parasites.
Toltrazuril has no anticoagulant, fibrinolytic, analgesic,
diuretic or anticonvulsant effect and has no effect on
gastrointestinal transit time.
For oral administration
Azuril is indicated in water medication at the rate of: 25 ppm (1 litre per 1000 litres of drinking water), this should be for
a continuous period of 48 hours.
Alternatively, it can be added at the higher level of: 75 ppm
(3 litres/1000 litres) for 8 hours per day on 2 successive days.
This corresponds to a dose rate of 7 mg of Toltrazuril per kg of
body weight per day for 2 consecutive days.
The 2days treatment is sufficient for the therapy of an outbreak of
clinical coccidiosis, or control of the subclinical coccidiosis during
the feeding of ionophores.
Supply the medicated drinking water as the only source of
drinking water.
